Having read great reviews about the Portuguese tarts that are sold at a stall in Seahorse Coffee Shop (海马咖啡店) in Pelita Commercial Centre, I went there on three occasions to buy the tarts but the tarts were sold out on all three occasions. Can you imagine that?
The day before yesterday, I went there again to try my luck. I saw two trays of Portuguese tarts just out from the oven so I told myself I am in luck. Unfortunately the young pretty girl manning the store told me that the tarts were sold out as many people had booked them.
I had to resort to using my skills and my smile to convince the girl to sell 6 pieces of the tarts to me. When I told her that this was my fourth attempt to buy the tarts after failing to buy them on my three previous visits to the stall, her heart must have been touched. I gave her a wide smile as I waited for her response. And she agreed to sell six pieces to me! Thanks a lot, sweet girl!
As soon as I tried one of the tarts, I know why the tarts are selling so well. The tart is really yummy with a crispy puff crust. And if you have a cup of coffee to go along with it, it is just heavenly!
Hey, pretty girl, I will be back for more tarts!
