Under the revised MCO 3.0, outdoor photography is not allowed. As an avid photographer, I feel like my wings have been clipped. I am going to miss “shooting” my avian models. I am going to miss my outings to Piasau Boat Club, Piasau Nature Reserve, Kuala Baram Wetlands, Miri Central Park and Coco Cabana.
It is very frustrating not being allowed to pursue my passion for outdoor photography. It is a bit puzzling why outdoor activities like jogging, exercising and cycling are allowed but not outdoor photography. I can understand if outdoor photography like wedding photography that involves a group of people is disallowed. But why can an individual photographer do outdoor photography as he goes for a walk or exercise?
I am not going to break the law. I will abide by the law and restrict my photography indoor or from within the confine of my house.
I hope I can draw inspiration from the little moments around us. The Covid pandemic will go down in history and I hope I can document this worrying time in my own ways. Maybe I should try some food photography, still-life photography or photography under challenging or low light. I still have so much to learn in photography. Being unable to do outdoor photography will allow me to watch YouTube videos on photography and read some photography manuals., things that I have been putting off for a long time.
Stay home and stay safe, folks!
