My son and I went there for dinner tonight as it is just a short drive from my house. When we arrived, the place was not full and there were quite a number of vacant tables. We ordered sweet & sour fish fillets, long beans fried with canned pork cubes and tofu with minced meat and salted fish. For drinks, I ordered ‘teh o’ while my son opted for Milo.

As we waited for our orders to be served, the place started to fill up. I guess the reputation of the boss is the main reason why the place is doing a roaring business every night. He is the ex-chef of Kok Chee Restaurant, regarded by many as the best restaurant in Miri before it closed shop after the owners migrated overseas.

We did not wait long before our food was served. The sweet & sour fish fillets were not crispy but the taste was good. The long beans tasted great though I would have liked it more if they had put more of the pork cubes. The tofu with minced meat & salted fish suited my taste buds. As a whole, we enjoyed the dinner.

The bill came up to RM33. The portions were enough for three persons so the price is actually quite reasonable. And we will definitely be back.
