When the MCO is over

I will remain sober

It ain’t cause for celebration

We all still need to exercise caution.

 

When the MCO is over

We must still remember

That strict personal hygiene is still a must

As well as social distancing and wearing of mask.

 

When the MCO is over

I will head to the barber

With hair that is now long and wavy

I am not proud of my crowning glory.

 

When the pandemic is over

Let this be a lesson forever

Covid-19 is Nature’s wake up call

Hitting back at the complacency of us all.

 

When the pandemic is over

It will take time for society to recover

Many SMEs will face bankruptcy

It’s something that they can foresee.

 

When the pandemic is over

It is like waking up from a hangover

Hopefully we can view life from a new perspective

And for once let it be positive,

 

When the pandemic is over

Let not our faiths waiver

Let us be filled with tolerance and compassion

For the good of our beloved nation.

Forget we must never

The front-liners and their sacrifices

No words of thanks will suffice.

May we all discover

The true meaning of a purpose-filled life
