Butterfly

Butterflies are so colourful

Their dance in the air is such an eyeful

Floating from flowers to flowers

Never seeming to get tired even after hours.

They taste with their feet

All-liquid diet is all they eat

Through their proboscis they sip

Into flowers their proboscis dip.

They cannot fly if they are cold

That’s what I have been told

Two to four weeks is their usual life span

Oh what a shame!
