I have read great reviews about Brewhouse so I decided to drop by the café today with my wife and my son Leslie. But the little café was almost full, except for a tall table with bar stools. We did not feel like sitting on those high bar stools so we thought of coming back later. As we were turning around to walk away, I heard someone calling out my name. I looked back into the café and saw my college mate Hii Sii Duk and his family occupying the first table.
Sii Duk’s family decided to go shopping in the mall so we joined Sii Duk at the first table. It was great catching up with an old friend over a cup of coffee. It has been said that good coffee is like friendship: rich, and warm and strong.
I ordered a Supremo blend fresh brew while my wife and my son opt for a green tea latte and an iced mocha respectively. We did not order any pastries as we were still feeling quite full from our breakfast.
For those of you who have not heard of Brewhouse, it is located on the first floor of Permaisuri Imperial City Mall just next to the GNC outlet.
Messages written on post-it notes adorn the wall together with bright lights interspersed with pieces of cork. The decor is simplistic but it has a cosy ambience. They have cute self-made coasters. I had intended to take photos of the coasters but I forgot to do so after the long chat with Sii Duk. So I am sharing with you a photo of the coasters taken from Brewhouse’s Facebook page.
You can purchase a variety of coffee beans imported from around the world as well as tea leaves from Taiwan. And if cash is not a problem for you, you may even consider taking home a VIBIEMME LOLLO Single Group coffee machine for RM15.900!
Brewhouse serves not only coffee and tea but wine too. They are also an one-stop cafe consultant, assisting in the setup of a few other cafes in Miri as well as supplying coffee beans to other cafes in Miri.
By the way, I like the Supremo black coffee.
