Someone commented on my blog article “The Best Steamed Buns In Miri” that House of Buns sells the best buns in Miri. So I dropped by House of Buns to buy chicken buns and char siew buns. House of Buns is situated near Dr Teo’s Clinic in Miri Waterfront Commercial Centre.
Having tested the buns of House of Buns, both my wife and I are unanimous in our verdict. The chicken buns were just okay, nothing to shout about. They are DEFINITELY not the best chicken buns ever! And the char siew buns cannot compare at all to the char siew buns sold by the roadside stall near GK Supermarket. In fact, I have tasted better char siew buns at many other coffeeshops in Miri.
One thing is certain: I won’t be going back to House Of Buns to buy buns again. But I will be back to buy their Berlin Chocolate Cake. I saw them advertising the Berlin Chocolate Cake and asked if they sell the cake in slices. They told me I can get slices of the cake at The Maker. It was at The Maker that I tasted the cake about ten days ago and I love the cake! It was the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted in Miri.
Cy you are still fighting for your “BERSIH”,don’t care about those jealous words. You are right, UP UP GK BUNS.
You the owner or related to GK bun (illegal)? .. Strongly suggest you set up a proper shop. Do the right thing. Be a good citizen then we judge if your bun is up to par.
Have you try their pork big pao with egg, siew mai and curry puff? which always sold out very fast also
would you give them 2nd chance for that? especially you go there for breakfast before you go to work in the morning, which are the best time because it’s just fresh from oven… yum.. yum.. haha
