I was online browsing around when I came across news about a 15-year-old girl by the name of Alice Pyne. Her story really touches my heartstrings and I just have to share her story with you.
Alice has been fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma – cancer of the white blood cells – for four years. Despite undergoing extensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy treatments and a stem cell transplant where her own treated cells were used, her condition was diagnosed as terminal last year.
Alice, who describes herself as “full-time cancer fighter”, is dying with maybe only a few more weeks to live. But she refused to be downhearted and wants to make the best of what she has.
She started her blog Alice’s Bucket List to share her “bucket list” of things she wants to do before she dies of cancer.
The remarkable thing about her blog is that she is not asking for donations or money; she wants all people to register to become bone marrow donors. What an amazing goal for a young girl, and one the Prime Minister David Cameron endorses.
If today was your last day on earth, how would you spend it?
I urge you to go her blog. Be inspired!
