For a lot of people, it’s inevitable. After enough time at any job, you start to think that your job sucks. It doesn’t have to be that way.
We’ve all dealt with bad bosses or back-stabbing colleagues but that doesn’t mean the cure for our ills involves quitting our job and finding another. Every job is still a job and comes with downsides. They call it “work” for a reason. Many of us jump between jobs with only a matter of time after our first day until we inevitably conclude “this job sucks!” and start looking for the next one.
I was in the car park of Parkcity Everly Hotel this morning when I saw three workers of a landscaping company giving the coconut trees in front of the hotel a “haircut.” As I watched them slithering up the tree trunks to get to the top of the trees where they would start cutting off a lot of the coconut palm leaves and young coconuts with their parangs, I cannot help feeling a bit apprehensive for them. If they were to fall from the tree top, it could be fatal.
So if you think your job sucks, there’s someone out there whose job is worse than yours.
