April the First again,

Time to pull a prank,

How it all began,

I really don’t know to be frank.

 

This April Fool’s Day,

Thank God it’s a Friday,

Everyone is in an anticipating mood,

And don’t mind having a good hoot.

 

On First of April Facebook should have a special tab,

Warning us what is at stake,

A day just for fun,

Sending people on a fool’s errand.

 

Today is the best day to propose to a girl,

Without worrying what response she may hurl,

If she accepts it it is your lucky day,

Otherwise tell her it’s April Fool’s Day.

 

Try telling your hubby about your pregnancy today,

He’s not gonna believe you anyway,

He thinks you’re taking him for a ride,

His gullibility would dent his pride.

 

You may not enjoy being pranked,

But don’t call your friend a crank,

Be a sport and lighten up,

Don’t make a storm in a teacup.

 

Take jokes in your stride,

It really won’t hurt your pride,

Get into the naughty mood,

Join in the laughter and feel good.

 

What should you do on April Fool’s Day?

Believe nothing and trust no one is the only way,

Just like you would on any other day,

No matter who others may say.
