Shiba Inu Dogs

Shiba Inu dogs

A breed of dogs is enjoying worldwide popularity thanks to hot meme cryptocurrencies. I am talking about Shiba Inu dogs. In 2013 the crypto world was introduced to Shiba Inus when Dogecoin, created by IBM software engineer Billy Markus and Adobe software engineer Jackson Palmer as a joke in response to other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, picked the breed as its mascot. The viral meme,  called ...

Wow! I Will Be A Datuk Very Soon!

Baby Scan

Within the next few days, I will be awarded the coveted title of “datuk.” No, it is not a title bestowed on me by the Sarawak Government or the governor of Sarawak. This is a title I feel really honoured to accept because I know that being a grandfather is a luxury not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy. And it is a title that ...

The GameStop Insanity

GameStop

Hundreds of thousands of little Davids took on the all-powerful Goliaths of Wall Street and won! It sounds almost like a fairy tale. It also demonstrates the power of unity. I am talking about the GameStop Insanity. GameStop, the brick-and-mortar video game retailer with more than 5,000 outlets in malls and shopping centers across USA, suddenly became the darling of retail investors. ...

It feeds on insects and worms. Though this is a very common bird, I have only encountered it three or four times during my bird photography outings.

Owls Are Amazing Creatures

Barred Eagle-Owl

I have always been fascinated by owls. I recently had my first opportunity of seeing an owl in the wild at Piasau Nature Reserve. It was a barred eagle-owl that reminds me of Yoda of The Star Wars fame. The most striking thing about owls is their eyes. The eyes of an owl are not true eyeballs. Their tubular-shaped eyes, ...
