Marilyn Monroe was always larger than life. Now she has been immortalized in a 26ft high statue – in her classic skirt-billowing pose from 1955 movie The Seven Year Itch.
The long-awaited 26-foot stainless steel and aluminum sculpture by Seward Johnson was unveiled Saturday on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago and will remain on display through the spring of 2012.
This photo of a worker put some finishing touches on ”Forever Marilyn” seems to beg a question. Why was he wearing a mask?
To protect himself from being knocked out by Marilyn’s flatulence?
