Lazy Sunday. We ended up at the newly opened Waffleshaus for breakfast. The outlet with waffle concept is the first of its kind in Miri and is located at Centre Point 1 behind Lorenzo.
The outlet offers specially homemade waffles with many variations on the menu.
The classic series offers Classic Waffle, Sweet Milk Waffle, Ice-cream Waffle, Nuttella Waffle, Peanut Butter Mousse waffle, Rainbow Waffle and Frutti Cheese Cocktail Waffle.
In the savoury series, there are Weekend Breakfast, Chicken Tomato, Grandma’s Style Mini Burgers, Beef Rendang, Grandma’s Lamb Stew, Baked Mushrooms Medley, Baked Pumpkin with Chicken, Baked Seafood Gratin and Baked Salmon Gratin.
For Waffle-Wich Series, customers can have a selection menu of Egg Mayonnaise, Tuna Mayonnaise, Monte Cristo Waffle-Wich and Corned Beef.
For those looking for something different, the Wafflezza Series offers different taste of Hawaiian, Tuna Corn, Pepperoni, Prawn & Mushrooms and Seafood.
In addition to that, the outlet also serves salads such as Tuna Salad, Caesar Salad, Chicken Waldorf Salad and Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad.
We opted for Sweet Milk Waffle, Weekend Breakfast, Grandma’s Style Mini Burgers and Egg Mayonnaise along with a pot of Earl Grey tea and a glass of Oreo Milkshake. The waffles were not bad but it is not something that you would want to eat too often. I think it will be quite a long while before we patronise the outlet again. By the way, our bill came up to RM58.20.
