If your meals consistently revolve around corpse multiple times daily, you might become one sooner than you planned. ~ Kris Carr
No…..I am not a vegetarian. I came across the above quotation online and thought it might give you food for thought.
I had a late breakfast with my wife so for lunch, we decided to go for something light. After picking our son from his office, we dropped by Vegan House located at 1399 Jalan Kubu, Centre Point. It is the same row of shophouses as Burger Lah!
This vegetarian restaurant offers delicious food and their prices are reasonable when compared to the other vegetarian restaurants in Miri. It is clean and have a friendly ambience. Look out for one of the partners Mr Jay She. A very well-read person, he can share a lot of knowledge with you.
They have quite a wide menu so if you are a first time patron, you may need time to browse through the menu to select your dishes. We have been here many times so the menu was not an issue for us. We ordered honey abalone mushroom, egg with sweet corn and basil dry-fried tofu. Like I said earlier, we were looking for something light.
We enjoyed the lunch as the quality of food served was good. The honey abalone mushroom was sweet and a bit crispy, very much to our liking. The egg with sweet corn is a simple dish but tasted good too. The basil with its pungent taste may need a little getting used to if you have never tasted it before. But taken with the dry-fried tofu (toukern), it offers a taste that I seldom experience.
So if you are in the mood for vegetarian food, drop by Vegan House for an enjoyable dining experience. Give peas a chance -try Veg!
Hi, I’m just curious why do they call the shop Vegan House if they serve eggs? Vegans don’t consume dairy products and especially eggs.
