If you think Rebecca Black‘s “Friday, Friday” was atrocious, wait till you listen to Gnesa Agnes.
YouTube wannabe Gnesa is seriously challenging Rebecca Black for the title of “Worst Singer In History” with her rendition of “Wilder” that features chorus “la la la la laaaaahhhh”
Basically anyone with functioning ears would rank Rebecca way above Gnesa. But what the heck? Gnesa has achieved her goal and has become an overnight “sensation.” Her YouTube video has garnered over 1 million views since it was uploaded on October 7. It just goes to show that you can attain fame by doing outrageous things. Not convinced? Just look at sex bloggers Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee who have caused such a furore internationally by posting their nude photos (including closeups of the male and female genitalia) and their sex videos on their online blog “Sumptuous Erotica.”
Torture your ears now with Gnesa’s “Wilder”:
I've been a rocker for about 35 years and not a fan of today's fabricated, synthesized pop music. But let's get this straight: This is more about horrible SONGS, not so much horrible singing. There's an incredible amount of horrible singing out there today; a lot of it is covered up by effects.
Rebecca Black did a decent vocal job on "Friday". Especially when you consider she was an untrained 12yo girl whose mother threw together some money for a music video on a whim. I give her kudos for her effort, and who knows where she'll take it.
That all being said, Gnesa Agnes not only has a horrible song, but she is – without question – a HORRIBLE singer. In my book, she takes both titles. As far as her talent goes, she might as well start shopping for a porno agent right about now. I'd rather listen to William Hung's "She Bangs" than this atrocity.
