Phantegerow Louiselle Leo Estrop. What a mouthful!

That is the name of the young Sabahan girl who became an online sensation in August last year due to her uncanny resemblance to Selena Gomez. Since then, her popularity has soared to staggering heights and she has received many offers to model for fashion and beauty products.

The 18-year old Kadazan Dusun-Dutch beauty, better known as Phan, now has almost 38,000 followers on Instagram and over 23,000 followers on Facebook.

Her fame is set to skyrocket now that she is starring in her first film, ‘Sumpahan Kinabalu’, a New Line Film Sdn Bhd’s production about the tragic earthquake in 2015. A promising career in the entertainment industry now beckons!

In her Instagram she revealed her exciting but challenging experience playing her role in the film.

“Acting was never easy from the beginning.  I’ve been up and down so many times till I lost count of it. There’s just so many mixed emotions happening  on my journey throughout the shooting for this film.

“I just have to try my best and never give up, because in my mindset I’m doing this for Sabah and I’ve tried my very best,” wrote the 18-year-old.

Despite her newfound fame, she remains firmly grounded and tries her best to stay humble. Her studies remain her first and foremost priority.

“I would be lying if I said that being likened to Selena does not make me happy or proud. I consider it an honour,” she enthused, “but I do not want to let that get to my head. At the end of the day, I am still me, not Selena.”
