Being an avid reader, I was pleased that Smart Bookshop Sdn Bhd has recently opened a branch on Level 1 Permaisuri Imperial Mall. With a lot of free time on my hands today, I dropped in the bookstore to browse around the store.

The store carries a wide range of books and stationery but it is unlikely that you will find the latest bestsellers. To their credit, they have a bargain corner with lots of titles ranging from RM3 to RM15. I bought “Straits and Narrow” by Grace McClurg for only RM5!

I saw very affordably-priced hardcover travel books on Thailand, Sabah, Penang, Sydney, Chiangmai and a few other places. The books on Sabah and Penang have sold quite well as there are only a couple of copies left. When I first visited the shop a week ago, there were quite a lot of copies of them.
