Sweat has never been known for its nice smell, but that’s all going to change when “Swallowable Parfum” becomes a reality.
We will no longer need perfume or deodorant in order to prepare for a date; a pill with all the right ingredients will help make us smell attractive and confident instead .
Netherlands-based Australian artist Lucy McCrae teamed up with synthetic biologist Sheref Mansy of Harvard University to create a revolutionary perfume pill that actually turns your sweat into a fragrance that will have its own characteristic for every person, because we are genetically unique.
The ‘Swallowable Parfum’ capsule, once absorbed, enables the skin to become a platform, an atomizer, a biologically enhanced second skin synthesized directly from the natural processes of the body. Fragrance molecules are excreted through the skin’s surface during perspiration, leaving tiny golden droplets on the skin that emanate a unique odor.
Also, because we are all genetically unique, the perfumed sweat will be individual to us all, putting an end to the search for the perfect scent many of us look for in a perfume. Making a perfume uniquely your own has always been the Holy Grail in the quest for the perfect scent.
“Swallowable Parfum is a digestible scented capsule that emits a unique odour through your own perspiration,” says ‘Body Architect’ McCrae, adding that “the potency of scent is determined by each individual’s acclimatization to temperature, stress, exercise, or sexual arousal.”
The swallowable perfume is still in the development stage, with no scheduled release date yet. The creators have created a promotional video that describes the perfume pill as a “new cycle of evolution”, “go beyond accessory” and “express uniqueness.”
