Flies are so friendly They show up uninvited Welcome them with slaps

Neighbourhood pigeons Chirruping loud coo coo sounds Morning wakeup calls

Nature’s symphony The wind gives the tree its voice The water its roars

Promise promises Losing count of how many are running empty

On the church’s altar a butterfly sits so still A child of the Lord

The dinner bell rings The dormitories empty Queue up for sardines.

Feel so out of breath Reaching the top of the stairs Stairs growing taller

A fallen flower Carrying many raindrops From its last shower

Raindrops on flowers I look out for sign of life Not a bee in sight
