The sky fills with foreboding dark clouds,
Thunders rumbles threateningly loud,
Winds howl and lash with great ferocity,
The rain pours down without any mercy.
Leaves sway and flap like hands clapping,
Waves dance in swells, finally crashing,
Trees are uprooted by an unseen hand,
Fishing boats hurry back towards safe land.
Though I watch things unfold nervously,
My heart marvels at nature’s glory,
A streak of lightning flashes in the sky,
Pessimism of mine suddenly dies.
Great. Very poetic. You’re beginning to perceive things inwardly, translating them into beautiful verses.
Thank you Tingang for your encouragement. I am beginning to enjoy writing poems more and more. I just bought the book Memories by Lang Leav and I am studying how she structures her poems.
